Dec 2023: Ordered inside for dinner to go. Got the steak fajita & shrimp fajita lunch tacos (so that I can get the homemade flour tortilla). Tender steak!!! The look and texture of the flour tortilla was different this time but still good: instead of a chewiness, it was soft and pillowy! Not a processed dry thin flour tortilla. Like the chew from eating sopes, but of course not as thick as a sope. -- Oct 2023: Called ahead for dinner pickup. Got the fancy fish taco and carne asada lunch tacos with the homemade flour tortilla. OMG THE CHEWWINESSS. LOVE ITTT. reminds me of the texture of a paratha / scallion pancake. ugh so good!!! I can never go back to a non-homemade tortilla. Life changing! Have ate their street tacos forever, but first time getting the lunch tacos (yes you can order these things for dinner). I also ordered the quesabirria. I noticed the packaging was a little off (we religiously order this) and did a self check before driving out. The consomme was not in the bag; but my friend was fine without it. So, we didn't go back in for it. Minutes later, Beto called and apologized for his mistake. I told him it was all good!! He was grateful for my understanding attitude and told us to remind him next time so he can treat us to something on the house. We are all human and things can get busy. We should all be kind - so check your order before leaving if you're the fussy type. Love seeing Beto and I think he recognizes me now after frequenting his establishment many times a month haha. -- Sept 2023: Arrived 20mins before 8pm closing on a Thursday. Got the street tacos plate; tried 2 brisket, 1 fish, 1 asada, and 1 shrimp. Asada tacos were the best!! so tender!! Cooked to order. Can't wait to get again. Shrimp was good as well, but im a sucker for tender beef. Their yellow corn tortillas are among the best I've received.
We had lunch here right after church since it was a walking distance from Seacoast Church and it didn’t disappoint us at all! The street tacos, beef fajitas, and their tamales were the bomb! The homemade salsa sauces and green salsa sauce were amazing. The food were fresh and made to order. They food really remind me on mexican food we ate during our trip in Mexico years ago. I recommend this little gem of Mexican food in West Ashley.
Very good food, service was AMAZING, nice low key atmosphere, food portions are large, very nice place to share food. Would Definitely recommend Taco Kitchen if you like Mexican food and are in the Charleston area!! Great experience!!
Taco kitchen was so good, the food was perfect and tasted amazing not to mention the service was amazing as well and so sweet, I highly recommend eating here when you have a chance
Great selection of authentic Mexican food. Simple place where you’ll get great service and freshly pressured prepared excellent tasting food. Really enjoyed the five taco plate, chicken tamale, and chicken quesadilla to go. The salsa bar is a wonderful bonus.

This is it. This is the spot. FANTASTIC street tacos. Just order the 5 street tacos. That's where it's at. I got the asada, brisket, chicken, pastor, and carnitas and they were all great. The interior is 100% no frills but the tacos are unbelievable.
Wonderful, polite staff. My food was cooked immediately, hot and delicious. Beans and rice were soft, moist and delicious. Salsa bar with fresh cilantro too! Atmosphere is fine, they focus on the food here!
